Chad Johnson Running To Daylight

The volcanoes in Cincinnati have finally erupted. Well, not finally, it’s been pretty bad In Cincy for a long time. Multiple arrests by key players, high powered offense with a lack luster defense, and finally the end all be all, Chad Johnson wants OUT.
“I want to be traded before the draft, and if that doesn’t happen, I want to be traded as soon as possible,” Johnson told ESPN.com. “I don’t intend on reporting to anything.”
It seems like Ocho Cinco has felt this way for a long time. Branded a distraction by the organization last year, with no support from Marvin Lewis, who himself is another bad season away from the chopping block, Chad Johnson has had enough. Now it seems like they’re is another opinion brewing, from wide receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh. “I think eventually he’ll show up, but then you have to worry about how much of a distraction he’ll be,” Houshmandzadeh told ESPN. Now Carson Palmer already made a statement about Johnson showing up to minicamp in mid-June and only fueled the fire that Chad has been brewing. “I want to make this very clear,” Johnson told ESPN.com’s John Clayton on Wednesday. “I don’t know where he got that. I made no assertion to Carson that I would do that. Nothing has changed from what I’ve been saying for three months that I don’t want to play for the Bengals.”
Whatever the case may be Johnson has now become a distraction. Granted he hasn’t been arrested on many occasion like former wideout Chris Henry, but he is now making headline news on ESPN. The Bengals clearly have no desire in moving the All-Pro receiver, but we have seen this before. (Terrell Owens) Let’s just see how this plays out for both sides.
