Curry Too Hot for Georgetown

null

Stephen Curry made sure Davidson continued its improbable run in the tournament scoring 25 of his 30 pts in the second half and leading his team all the way back from a 17 point deficit for a thrilling 74-70 upset win against the mighty Hoyas of Georgetown…. Consider your brackets BUSTED!

The silky sophomore is the son of former Charlotte Hornets sharpshooter Dell Curry and looked like a pro in the second half after a first half that made his 40 points in the first round look like a fluke. He just could not be stopped by the Hoyas who started 4 out of 5 starters from last year’s Final Four team.

The Hoyas were on fire in the first half and looked like they would cruise to yet another sweet sixteen appearance. They continued their dominating play in the second half building a 17 point cushion that would usually guarantee a victory under normal circumstances. Davidson just would not be stopped going on a 16-2 run that brought them all the way back and eventually gave them a lead that they would not relinquish.

The Hoyas are yet another big name big conference team that thought they were too good to lose to a mid major like Davidson only to be shocked and embarrassed by the results of their arrogance. The NCAA Tournament is now in full swing 2 exciting rounds out the way, stars being made and reputations being damaged throughout. All we can hope for is more of the same in the coming rounds. The only guarantee we have in this year’s NCAA Tournament is that no matter who wins the Madness of March will continue.

I had UConn Pittsburgh and Georgetown going alot farther than they did. I don’t know if its my BIG East coast bias or not but what i do know is that i don’t know shit when it comes to picking the NCAA Tournament. My main team is still in it though and i’ll leave it at that.

Yeah rome my brackets been blown apart. My championship vote which I will not jinx by stating the team is still alive. All this Big East talk yet the only teams actually still alive is Louisville and Villanova and I don’t know how long that will last.
